Emily started her healthcare journey in 1998 a nursing assistant realizing her passion to help others in need of medical care. Emily went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Winston-Salem State University and her master’s degree as a nurse practitioner with a PMHNP (psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner) specialization from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is board certified and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

During her tenure as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, she has worked in underserved and socioeconomically disadvantaged areas as well as extensive telehealth experience through out North Carolina and Virginia. Emily’s treatment areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and ADHD.
