Dr. Tolin is board certified in psychiatry and has been in practice since 2002. A native of Arkansas, Dr. Tolin earned her B.A. in Biology from Hendrix College in Arkansas in 1994. She earned her M.D. from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine in 1998. Dr. Tolin completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Science Center from 1998-2002. After completing her residency, Dr. Tolin served in the United States Air Force from 2002-2006 as the Medical Director of the Mental Health Clinic at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada practicing both inpatient and outpatient care as well as serving as a forensic consultant. Following her Air Force service, Dr. Tolin relocated to North Carolina in 2006 and has been in private practice since that time. Dr. Tolin’s practice is open to adolescents and adults age 16 and older and limited to outpatient treatment only. While all patients are welcome, special fields of interest include women’s mental health, psychological issues associated with medical illness, and post-traumatic stress. Dr. Tolin offers medication management and individual psychotherapy.
Ms. Thanawala is board certified by the NCAPA. A native of North Carolina, she earned her B.S in Microbiology with a minor in Genetics and a Master’s degree in Physiology from North Carolina State University. She earned her PA degree from Campbell University. As a result of her broad academic background and working in various healthcare settings, she has developed a diverse range of knowledge. Her interests include women’s mental health, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. Ms. Thanawala offers medication management and individual psychotherapy.
